How do I calculate the electric motor power for a power unit?

Flow times pressure divided by 600 gives hydraulic power (kW); divide by overall efficiency for the electric motor rating. Example: 40 L/min, 160 bar, η 0.85 → 40×160/(600×0.85) ≈ 12.5 kW → select a 15 kW motor.

P [kW] = Q [L/min] × ΔP [bar] / (600 × η)
